VISION & BELIEFS

Life is Hard.

We Want to Help.

Jesus says, “I came so they could have life—indeed, so they could live life to the fullest.” Doing Life Together allows us to build habits that help us even when life gets tough.

Where We’re Headed – New Life 2030

Our sense of identity (some call it mission) demands that we partner with our community. Our community won’t experience God’s hope for New Life if we sit back and wait for them to appear. It’s time to re-engage our community to offer hope for a new life.

By 2030, we will inspire and transform young people and their families in South Gwinnett through partnerships with schools, non-profits, government agencies, neighborhoods, and businesses.

What We Believe

We believe that God’s grace is freely offered to us through Jesus so we can live life to its fullest.

  • The Apostles Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth. In Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; the third day, he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

  • About God

We believe that God is the Creator and Ruler of the Universe. We believe God's grace is the foundation of our relationship with Him. Through grace, God makes the first move toward us, enabling us to respond by receiving His love or walking away.

  • About Jesus

We believe Jesus, born of the Virgin Mary, was fully human and God. His life gives us an example of what true humanity should look like, and his death on the cross accomplished what only God could achieve for us: a new life of forgiveness and freedom from death.

  • About the Holy Spirit

We believe that God loves us so much that He does more than forgive us. He gives us the gift of the Holy Spirit to transform our lives by providing the power to live life to the fullest,

  • About People

We believe God created people in His image and saw that His creation was good. Yet, in our brokenness, we rebelled against the One who created us and failed to live up to the life God calls us to live. But God continues to pursue us so that we might return home to the God who made us, wants us, and loves us.

  • About Salvation

Because God first loved us, He sent his Son Jesus to teach us how to live, to die on the cross for our rebellion against Him, and to defeat even death itself so that we might be “saved” and return home to God. God’s gift of salvation is open to all people, without exception.

  • About New Life

Too many of us have made Christianity more complicated than God intended. We believe in a simple, straightforward approach to living our faith built on Jesus’s teaching. He said he “came so that they could have life—indeed so that they could live life to the fullest.” New Life is working with God and the Church to transform the world around us, helping it to be as God intended.
